Procedure:
1. Raise vehicle and support with jack stands or ramps.
2. Remove the three nuts that secure the upper control arm.
3. Remove the bolt that secures the ball joint to the spindle.
4. Separate the ball joint from the spindle.
5. Remove the old upper control arm from the vehicle.
6. Install the new upper control arm.
7. Reinstall the ball joint to the spindle.
8. Reinstall the three nuts that secure the upper control arm.
9. Lower the vehicle.
Tools and Supplies Needed:
- Safety glasses
- Jack and jack stands or ramps
- Socket set
- Wrench set
- Pry bar
Tips:
- Be sure to use a pry bar to help separate the ball joint from the spindle.
- Make sure that the new upper control arm is properly seated before tightening the nuts.
