1. Park your vehicle on level ground and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your vehicle.
3. Locate the transmission fluid dipstick. It is usually located near the back of the engine, near the transmission. The dipstick may be red or orange in color, and it may be marked with the word "ATF."
4. Pull the dipstick out of the transmission and wipe it clean with a rag.
5. Insert the dipstick back into the transmission until it is fully seated.
6. Pull the dipstick out again and check the fluid level. The fluid should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick. If the fluid level is low, you will need to add transmission fluid.
7. To add transmission fluid, use a funnel to pour the fluid into the transmission fluid filler tube. The filler tube is usually located near the dipstick.
8. Add enough transmission fluid to bring the level up to the "Full" mark on the dipstick.
9. Replace the dipstick and close the hood of your vehicle.
It is important to check the transmission fluid level regularly, as low fluid levels can cause damage to the transmission.
