- 10mm socket
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Pliers
Instructions:
1. Start by removing the seven 10mm bolts that hold the front bumper to the car.
- There are four bolts at the top of the bumper, two on each side and three bolts at the bottom.
2. Next, remove the four Phillips head screws that hold the bumper to the grille.
3. Finally, use a flat head screwdriver to pry up the three plastic clips that hold the bumper to the fender liners.
4. Once you have released all the bolts, screws and clips, the bumper should be loose and can be removed from the car.
Note: Honda Civics produced from 1996 to 2000 have similar front bumper removal processes. It is always a good idea to double check specific instructions that apply to your Civic in case there are small variations.
