The distributor cap is located on the front of the engine, near the top. It is held in place by four bolts. To remove the distributor cap, simply remove the four bolts and lift the cap off.
The distributor cap has eight terminals, which are numbered from 1 to 8. The terminals are arranged in a clockwise circle, starting with terminal 1 at the top.
The spark plug wires should be connected to the terminals on the distributor cap in the following order:
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8
* Starting at the 6 o'clock position on the distributor cap.
* Working clockwise
To connect a spark plug wire, simply push it down onto the terminal until it clicks into place.
NOTE: Be sure that you connect the spark plug wires in the correct order, as this is critical for the engine to run properly.
