1. Park the vehicle and allow the engine to cool down.
2. Open the hood: Pull the hood release lever located underneath the dash on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Then, lift the hood and secure the hood strut using the hood prop rod.
3. Locate the headlight assembly: The headlight assembly is secured by 3 bolts; one bolt is located on top of the headlight assembly and two bolts are located on the bottom of the headlight assembly.
4. Remove the bolts: Use a 10 mm socket wrench to remove the three bolts that secure the headlight assembly.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector: Once the bolts are removed, gently pull the headlight assembly forward to expose the electrical connector at the back. Press down on the release tab of the connector and pull the connector straight off of the headlight assembly.
6. Remove the headlight assembly: Once the electrical connector is removed, you can slide the entire headlight assembly out of its housing.
7. Remove the old headlight bulb: Turn the bulb counterclockwise until it disengages from the headlight housing. Then, remove the bulb by pulling it straight out of the socket.
8. Install the new headlight bulb: Insert the new bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise until it locks into place.
9. Reinstall the headlight assembly: Slide the assembly back into its housing. Once the assembly is properly positioned, reconnect the electrical connector by pushing it back onto the assembly until it clicks into place.
10. Secure the headlight assembly: Reinstall the three bolts that secure the headlight assembly. Tighten the bolts until they are snug.
11. Close the hood
