Tools and materials needed:

- New transmission fluid (check your owner's manual for the correct type and amount)

- Rags

Instructions:

1. Park your Kia Optima on a level surface and apply the parking brake.

2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down completely.

3. Open the hood and locate the transmission fluid fill plug. It is usually located on the top of the transmission, near the back of the engine.

4. Place the transmission fluid drain pan under the transmission fluid drain plug.

5. Use the wrench to loosen the drain plug and allow the old transmission fluid to drain out completely.

6. Once the old transmission fluid has drained out, replace the drain plug.

7. Locate the transmission fluid fill plug and remove it.

8. Use the funnel to add the new transmission fluid to the transmission.

9. Add the amount of transmission fluid specified in your owner's manual.

10. Replace the fill plug.
