Tools Needed:
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Flathead Screwdriver
- Trim Removal Tool (Optional)
- Socket Wrench (10mm)
1. Remove the Door Handle Trim.
- Pry off the plastic cover underneath the door handle using a flathead screwdriver.
- Remove the two Phillips head screws exposed to remove the door handle trim.
2. Detach the Control Switch Module.
- Use the trim removal tool or a flathead screwdriver to pry out the control switch module (window controls).
- Disconnect the electrical connectors at the back of the switch.
3. Remove the Arm Rest.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the single Phillips screw at the front of the arm rest.
- Carefully lift the armrest and pull it towards the rear of the vehicle to release it from its clips.
4. Remove the Window Crank (Manual Windows Only).
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two Phillips screws at the front of the window crank.
- Pull out the window crank to release it.
5. Pop Off the Door Panel.
- Using the trim removal tool or flathead screwdriver, gently pry around the edges of the door panel to release the retaining clips.
- Be patient and work slowly to avoid breaking any clips.
6. Remove the Speaker.
- The door speakers are attached to the back of the door panel. Disconnect any electrical connectors you may see from the speaker.
- Remove the bolts to release the speaker from the panel.
7. Detach Cables.
- Unhook any cables or rods connected to the door panel, mainly the release for the door handle.
8. Remove the Door Panel.
- Once all cables are disconnected, and screws removed, carefully lift the door panel up and off.
Installation:
To reinstall, simply follow the steps in reverse order, aligning the clips and reconnecting any cables or electrical connectors.
