1. Remove the transmission from the vehicle.
2. Remove the oil pan.
3. Remove the filter screen.
4. Remove the valve body.
5. Remove the clutch drums.
6. Remove the torque converter.
Step 2: Clean the parts
1. Clean all of the parts thoroughly with a degreaser and water.
2. Dry the parts with compressed air.
Step 3: Inspect the parts
1. Inspect all of the parts for wear and damage.
2. Replace any worn or damaged parts.
Step 4: Reassemble the transmission
1. Reinstall the torque converter.
2. Reinstall the clutch drums.
3. Reinstall the valve body.
4. Reinstall the filter screen.
5. Reinstall the oil pan.
Step 5: Reinstall the transmission
1. Reinstall the transmission in the vehicle.
2. Fill the transmission with the proper type of fluid.
3. Bleed the transmission fluid.
Step 6: Test the transmission
1. Test the transmission by shifting through all of the gears.
2. Make sure that the transmission is shifting smoothly and without any noise.
