1. Turn off the ignition and allow the vehicle to cool down.
2. Locate the fuse boxes. There are two fuse boxes in the Jetta: one in the engine compartment and one in the passenger compartment. The engine compartment fuse box is located on the driver's side, near the battery. The passenger compartment fuse box is located under the dashboard, on the driver's side.
3. Open the fuse box cover. The cover of the engine compartment fuse box is held in place by two screws. The cover of the passenger compartment fuse box is held in place by two plastic clips.
4. Identify the fuse that needs to be replaced. The fuses are labeled with their amperage rating. The amperage rating is the maximum amount of current that the fuse can safely carry without blowing.
5. Remove the blown fuse. Use a fuse puller or needle-nose pliers to grasp the fuse and pull it out of the socket.
6. Install the new fuse. Insert the new fuse into the socket. Make sure that the fuse is the same amperage rating as the blown fuse.
7. Close the fuse box cover. Replace the screws or plastic clips that hold the fuse box cover in place.
8. Turn on the ignition and test the circuit. The circuit should now be working properly.
