1. Sit in the driver's seat and close all the doors.
2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (but do not start the engine).
3. Wait 30 seconds, then turn the key to the "OFF" position.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 two more times.
5. After the third time, leave the key in the "ON" position and wait for the immobiliser light to go out (this could take up to a minute).
6. Once the light goes out, turn the key to the "OFF" position and remove it from the ignition.
The immobiliser should now be reset. If the light does not go out after a minute, there may be a problem with the immobiliser system. In that case, you will need to have the car towed to a mechanic.
