- Replacement Headlight Bulb (check your owner's manual for the correct size)
- Flat-head screwdriver
- Phillips-head screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Park your Jeep on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
2. Open the hood of your Jeep. Locate the release lever or button inside your Jeep and pull it to release the hood. Once the hood is released, lift it up and prop it open with the support rod.
3. Locate the headlight assembly that contains the burned-out bulb. It is usually behind the plastic cover on the front of the Jeep.
4. Remove the plastic cover. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry off the retaining clips on the sides of the cover. Once the clips are released, lift the cover off.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the headlight assembly. Press the release tab on the connector and pull it straight off the bulb.
6. Remove the old headlight bulb. Turn the headlight bulb counterclockwise until it comes loose and remove it from the housing.
7. Install the new headlight bulb. Insert the new bulb into the housing and turn it clockwise until it is secure.
8. Reconnect the electrical connector to the back of the headlight assembly. Press it until it clicks into place.
9. Replace the plastic cover. Snap the cover back into place and secure it with the retaining clips.
10. Close the hood of your Jeep. Make sure the hood is properly latched and secure before driving.
11. Turn on the headlights to test the new bulb. Make sure the new bulb is working properly before you drive.
