1. Gather Tools and Materials:

- New brake discs

- Brake caliper grease

- 17mm socket

- 13mm socket

- Flat-head screwdriver

- Jack

- Jack stands

- Wheel chocks

- Safety goggles

2. Safety First:

- Park the car on a level surface, turn off the engine, and engage the parking brake. Use wheel chocks to secure the front wheels.

3. Remove the Rear Wheels:

- Use the 17mm socket to loosen and remove the lug nuts on one of the rear wheels.

- Place a jack under the car, near the rear wheel you are working on, and raise the vehicle until the tire is off the ground.

- Secure the jack with jack stands.

- Remove all lug nuts and the rear wheel.

4. Remove the Brake Caliper:

- Locate the brake caliper, which is connected to the rear brake disc.

- Use the 13mm socket to remove the two bolts holding the caliper in place.

- Carefully lift the caliper off the brake disc and suspend it using a piece of wire or string. Make sure not to damage the brake line.

5. Remove the Brake Disc:

- Inspect the condition of the old brake disc. Look for deep grooves or significant wear.

- Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry out the two retaining screws holding the brake disc to the hub.

- Gently pull the brake disc off the hub.

6. Clean and Inspect:

- Clean the hub thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris.

- Inspect the hub for any damage, such as deep scratches or pitting. If necessary, replace the hub.

7. Install New Brake Disc:

- Position the new brake disc onto the hub, ensuring it sits correctly.

- Thread and tighten the two retaining screws back into the hub.

8. Reinstall the Brake Caliper:

- Carefully place the brake caliper back over the brake disc.

- Secure the caliper with the two bolts previously removed. Tighten the bolts securely.

9. Reinstall the Wheel:

- Place the rear wheel back onto the hub. Hand-tighten the lug nuts.

- Lower the car off the jack stands, then remove them.

- Tighten the lug nuts with the 17mm socket in a star pattern to an appropriate torque.

10. Repeat on the Other Side:

- Repeat steps 3-9 for the other rear wheel.

11. Test the Brakes:

- Gently depress the brake pedal several times to ensure that the brakes are functioning properly.
