This method assumes that the vehicle's battery is still functional and that the vehicle's central locking system is operational.
1. Use the key to open the driver's door.
2. Once inside, locate the trunk release lever. This lever is usually located in the lower left corner of the dashboard, near the driver's left knee.
3. Pull the trunk release lever to open the trunk.
4. If the trunk does not open, you may need to disable the child safety lock. To do this, locate the child safety lock switch in the trunk lid (behind the license plate area) and flip the switch to the "off" position.
