1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Open the trunk of your vehicle.
3. Locate the spare tire, which is usually stored in a compartment underneath the trunk floor.
4. Remove the cover of the spare tire compartment.
5. Loosen the lug nuts on the spare tire using a lug wrench.
6. Jack up the vehicle until the spare tire is off the ground.
7. Remove the lug nuts and take off the spare tire.
8. Store the spare tire and tools back in the compartment.
