* The trunk only works on batteries as the system can’t be switched over unless accessed from inside the car.
1. Go To: Driver's side rear seat
Open the rear door opposite to the driver’s seat and fold the seat back.
2. Lift The Floor Cover
Remove the felt-covered wooden panel with a flat head screwdriver.
3. Access The Trunk Release Solenoid
Find the black box near the bottom right of the opening (circled). This contains the trunk release solenoid that opens the trunk.
4. Connect To The Battery
Pull back the rubber grommet and attach one end of the wire you have connected to the car battery to the terminal on the solenoid.
5. Connect The Trunk Switch
The other end of the wire to the trunk switch inside the rubber boot. Push the trunk release button (not pictured).
6. The Trunk Should Open
When you press the trunk switch the trunk should open.
If you are still unable to open the trunk then you will need a professional to assist.
