1. Turn off your car and wait atleast a few minutes.
2. Open your car's hood and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
3. Wait at least 10 minutes.
4. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
5. Turn on the car's ignition.
6. The radio should now be reset.
_Here's how to perform a more comprehensive reset of your Volvo 850 radio:_
1. First, remove the four screws that hold the radio in place.
2. Once the screws are removed, pull the radio out of the dash.
3. Locate the 12V power plug on the back of the radio and unplug it.
4. Wait at least 10 minutes.
5. Reconnect the 12V power plug.
6. Reinstall the radio.
7. The radio should now be completely reset.
