1. Locate the air cleaner cover on the left side of the motorcycle, near the front of the engine. It is a black plastic cover with a Honda logo on it.
2. Remove the two Phillips head screws that hold the air cleaner cover in place.
3. Carefully lift the air cleaner cover off of the air filter housing.
4. The air filter is located inside the air filter housing. It is a cylindrical-shaped foam filter.
5. Remove the air filter from the air filter housing.
6. Inspect the air filter for dirt or damage. If the air filter is dirty, clean it according to the instructions in your motorcycle's owner's manual. If the air filter is damaged, replace it with a new one.
7. Reinstall the air filter in the air filter housing.
8. Reinstall the air cleaner cover and tighten the two Phillips head screws.
