1.Locate the battery:
On the Suzuki Bandit 600, the battery is located under the seat.
2.Remove the seat:
• Lift the rear of the seat and push down on the release button located on the right side of the seat.
• Slide the seat forward and lift it up to remove it.
3.Disconnect the battery terminals:
• Identify the positive and negative battery terminals.
• Loosen the negative (black) terminal bolt first, then the positive (red) terminal bolt. Be careful not to touch the terminals with any metal objects, as this can create a short circuit.
• Remove the terminal bolts and disconnect the cables from the battery.
4.Remove the battery:
• Lift the battery out of the compartment.
5.Install the new battery:
• Place the new battery in the compartment. Make sure the positive terminal is facing the positive terminal on the bike and the negative terminal is facing the negative terminal.
• Reattach the battery terminals. Tighten the positive (red) terminal bolt first, then the negative (black) terminal bolt.
• Tighten the terminal bolts securely.
6.Reconnect the battery cables:
• Reattach the negative (black) cable to the negative terminal, then the positive (red) cable to the positive terminal.
7.Replace the seat:
• Slide the seat forward and down onto the seat rails.
• Push down on the rear of the seat until it clicks into place.
Test the battery:
• Turn on the ignition and check that the battery indicator light is off.
• Start the motorcycle and make sure it runs properly.
