1. Pull the seat off the quad by grasping it at the rear and pulling up. It slides back the way it does on some lawn tractors. This exposes the air filter box.
2. Remove the black plastic cover from over the battery. It simply pulls up and off. Now you can see the battery.
3. Remove the negative cable from the battery by loosening the nut that holds it in place. Remove the positive cable next.
4. Lift the old battery out of the bike and set it aside.
5. Install the new battery by setting it into place and connecting the positive cable first. Then reconnect the negative cable. You may need a hammer or other heavy object to bang on the battery so that it fits snugly enough in place to avoid vibration problems.
6. Replace the black plastic cover and seat, and your quad is ready to use once more.
