Where is the oil sending unit located on a 1986 corvette?

On a 1986 Corvette, the oil pressure sending unit is located on the passenger side of the engine block, near the oil filter. It's a relatively small unit and might be somewhat difficult to spot without some familiarity with the engine bay.
