3. Locate the switch. The switch to operate the convertible top is usually located on the center console, near the gear shifter. It's typically a button or a small switch with an up and down arrow graphic.
4. Press and hold the button. There should be a button to lower the top (usually down arrow). Press and hold this button. The top will automatically lower. The process takes several seconds.
5. Listen for any unusual noises. If you hear any grinding or unusual sounds, immediately release the button and check for obstructions.
