* Driver's side dashboard: Look through the lower portion of the windshield on the driver's side. The VIN is usually riveted to the dashboard itself.
* Driver's side doorjamb: The VIN might be stamped on the doorjamb, near the latch mechanism.
* Engine compartment: Check the firewall (the metal panel separating the engine compartment from the passenger compartment). It's often stamped there, but can be difficult to see depending on the truck's condition.
* Vehicle title or registration: Your vehicle's title or registration will also list the VIN.
The dashboard location is usually the easiest to find. If you can't locate it easily, checking the other locations might be necessary.
