To find it:
1. Consult your owner's manual: This is the best resource. It will show a diagram of your specific truck's cooling system and the location of the drain plug.
2. Look under the truck: Position yourself safely under the front of the vehicle (use jack stands!), and look at the bottom of the radiator. The plug is usually on the lower driver's side.
3. Look for a similar plug on the transmission cooler (if integrated): Some Sierras have the transmission cooler integrated into the radiator. There may be a drain plug for this as well. Note that this drain will require more careful handling.
4. If you can't find it: Take your truck to a mechanic or auto parts store. They'll be able to point it out.
Important Safety Note: Always allow the engine to cool completely before attempting to drain the radiator. Hot coolant can cause serious burns.
