Where is the thermostat on a 1989 Buick reatta?

1. Open the hood of your vehicle and locate the thermostat housing. On the Buick Reatta, the thermostat housing is located on the front of the engine, near the top of the radiator hose.

2. Remove the two bolts that hold the thermostat housing cover in place.

3. Remove the old thermostat from the housing.

4. Insert the new thermostat into the housing, making sure that the wax pellet is facing the engine.

5. Replace the thermostat housing cover and bolts.

6. Refill the coolant system with the proper mixture of coolant and water.
