1. Open the hood.
2. Locate the positive terminal on your transported. It will be clearly indicated with a "+" sign.
3. Connect the red (positive) jumper cable to the positive terminal on your transported.
Negative Terminal
1. Then attached the other end of the red (positive) jumper cable to the positive terminal on the working battery.
2. Then attached the black (negative) jumper cable to the black terminal on the working battery.
3. Then attached the other end of the black (negative) jumper cable to a metal surface on your Pontiac, far away from the battery and fuel lines. This is called the ground connection.
4. Start the working car and let it run for a few minutes.
5. Then, try starting your Pontiac Transport. If it starts, let both vehicles run for a few more minutes.
6. Disconnect the jumper cables in the reverse order you attached them.
