When were cars first used?
The first automobile was invented by Karl Benz in Germany in 1885. It was a three-wheeled vehicle powered by a four-stroke gasoline engine. The first production car was the Benz Patent-Motorwagen, which was also invented by Karl Benz in 1886. The first American car was invented by Charles Duryea in 1892. It was a four-wheeled electric vehicle.
