The coolant temperature sensor is located in the engine block. It is located below the intake manifold, on the driver's side of the vehicle. The sensor is held in place by a single bolt.
To access the coolant temperature sensor, you will need to:
1. Remove the intake manifold.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the coolant temperature sensor.
3. Remove the bolt that holds the coolant temperature sensor in place.
4. Lift the coolant temperature sensor out of the engine block.
Be aware that some coolant may spill when the coolant temperature sensor is removed. Make sure to have a rag or pan ready to catch the coolant.
