When did cars not have any computers in them?

Cars did not have any computers until the early 1970s. Before that, cars used mechanical systems such as ignition system and fuel injection. In the early 1970s, electronic fuel injection and ignition systems began to be used in cars. These systems used a computer to control the amount of fuel and spark delivered to the engine.
