1. Locate the bonnet release lever inside the vehicle. It is usually a small lever or handle located near the driver's footwell.
2. Pull the bonnet release lever to release the bonnet's primary latch.
3. Go to the front of the vehicle and locate the secondary bonnet latch. It is usually located in the center of the bonnet, under the Ford logo.
4. Insert a flat-head screwdriver or a key into the slot of the secondary bonnet latch.
5. Press down on the screwdriver or key to release the secondary latch.
6. Lift the bonnet to open it.
Since the battery is flat, the electronic bonnet release may not work. This method allows you to open the bonnet mechanically without using the electronic release.
Note: Be careful when opening the bonnet, especially if the vehicle has been recently driven as some parts may be hot.
