- A multimeter
- A 12-volt power source
- A jumper wire
1. Set the multimeter to measure DC volts.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the air conditioner switch.
3. Connect the positive lead of the multimeter to the "C" terminal on the switch.
4. Connect the negative lead of the multimeter to the "G" terminal on the switch.
5. Turn on the ignition switch.
6. Touch the positive lead of the power supply to the "F" terminal on the switch.
7. If the multimeter reads 12 volts, the switch is working properly.
Here are some additional tips for testing the air conditioner switch:
- If the multimeter does not read 12 volts, the switch may be malfunctioning.
- To replace the switch, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the two mounting screws, and remove the switch from the vehicle.
- Install the new switch in the reverse order of the removal procedure.
