1. Park the van in a safe location and turn off the engine.

7. Lift the battery out of the van.
- Once the battery is disconnected and the hold-down clamp or bracket is removed, you can lift the battery out of the van.
- Be careful not to drop the battery, as it is heavy and could cause injury.
8. Prepare the battery compartment.
- Clean the battery compartment with a damp cloth and ensure there is no debris or corrosion.
9. Install the new battery.
- Place the new battery in the battery compartment, ensuring that the positive terminal is facing the positive terminal cable and the negative terminal is facing the negative terminal cable.
10. Replace the battery hold-down clamp.
- Replace the battery hold-down clamp or bracket and tighten the bolts or screws to hold it in place.
11. Reconnect the positive terminal cable to the battery.
- Place the positive terminal cable on the positive terminal of the battery and tighten the nut to hold it in place.
12. Reconnect the negative terminal cable to the battery.
- Place the negative terminal cable on the negative terminal of the battery and tighten the nut to hold it in place.
13. Close the hood of the van.
- Lower the hood and ensure it is securely latched.
14. Start the van.
- Turn the key in the ignition and start the van.
- Check the battery indicator light on the dashboard to ensure that the battery is charging.
15. Test the electrical system.
- Turn on the headlights, radio, and other electrical accessories to ensure that they are functioning properly.
16. Dispose of the old battery properly.
