1. Turn off the gas supply. Make sure that the gas is completely off before you begin any work.
2. Locate the gas switch. The gas switch is typically located near the gas meter.
3. Remove the gas switch cover. You can usually remove the cover with a screwdriver.
4. Bypass the gas switch. To bypass the gas switch, you will need to connect the two wires that are connected to the switch. You can do this with a wire nut or a pair of pliers.
5. Turn on the gas supply. Once you have bypassed the gas switch, you can turn the gas supply back on.
