NIO is still producing the all-electric ES6 in very small numbers. In its debut month (June) 413 units were sold, while in July 673 units were delivered to customers.
What makes the all-electric NIO ES6 special is its 84 kWh battery pack made with NCM 811 battery cells from CATL. The battery pack has an energy density of 170 Wh/kg, which puts it on pair with the Tesla Model 3 (estimated at 168 Wh/kg).
The NCM 811 designation means that the cathode besides lithium contains nickel, cobalt and manganese in a composition ratio of 8:1:1.
NIO delivered 837 vehicles in July, consisting of 673 ES6s, the Company’s 5-searter high-performance premium electric SUV, and 164 ES8s, the Company’s 7-seater high-performance premium electric SUV and its 6-seater variant. As of July 31, 2019, aggregate deliveries of the Company’s ES8 and ES6 reached 19,727 vehicles, of which 8,379 vehicles were delivered in 2019.
