Step 2: Press and hold down the brake pedal securely with your foot.
Step 3:Turn the key clockwise until the engine starts or until you hear a clicking sound. Do not release the brake pedal: Release the key immediately if you hear a clicking sound to prevent damage to the ignition.
Step 4: If the engine doesn’t start, release the key and wait 5-10 seconds before trying again. Do not hold the key in the “Start” position for more than 15 seconds at a time to avoid draining your battery.
Once the engine starts, release the brake pedal and press the gas pedal to accelerate and drive your Chevrolet Equinox.
