1. Park your motorcycle on level ground and turn off the engine.
2. Allow the engine to cool down for several minutes.
3. Locate the oil drain pan. The oil drain pan is located under the motorcycle engine, directly below the oil filter.
4. Place a large oil drain pan under the oil drain plug.
The oil drain plug is located on the bottom of the engine, at the front of the oil pan. It is a 17mm bolt head.
5. Use a 17mm wrench to loosen the oil drain plug.
6. Allow the oil to drain into the oil drain pan.
7. Once the oil has completely drained, replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
8. Dispose of the old oil properly.
Old oil should be recycled or taken to a hazardous waste disposal facility.

* Use a new oil filter every time you change the oil.
* Use the correct type of oil for your motorcycle.
* Change the oil according to the recommended schedule in your motorcycle's owner's manual.
