1. Remove the negative battery terminal with an 8mm wrench or a socket wrench. If the post has wing nuts, turn them counterclockwise with your hand to disconnect the negative terminal.
2. Remove the positive battery terminal.
3. Remove the battery hold down clamp.
4. Pull the battery up vertically to remove it.
5. To disconnect the battery, use an 8mm wrench to loosen the screw holding the connector in place.
6. Once the screw is loose, disconnect the connector by pressing the tab and pulling the connector off.
The 2000 Jaguar S-Type battery is located in the engine compartment, rear passenger footwell of the vehicle.
