1. Locate the hood release lever inside the car. It is usually located on the driver's side footwell, near the door sill.
2. Pull the hood release lever to release the hood latch.
3. Go to the front of the car and locate the secondary hood latch. It is located in the center of the hood, just below the Mercedes-Benz emblem.
4. Press down on the secondary hood latch to release the hood.
5. Lift the hood up and prop it open with the hood prop rod.
To close the hood, simply lower it down and make sure that the secondary hood latch engages. Then, push down on the hood release lever inside the car to engage the primary hood latch.
