Tools and Materials Needed:
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Flat Head Screwdriver
- 10mm Socket Wrench
- Ratchet
- New Turn Signal Switch
Instructions:
1. Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Remove the two Phillips head screws that hold the steering column cover in place.
3. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the steering column cover.
4. Locate the three 10mm bolts that hold the turn signal switch in place.
5. Use the 10mm socket wrench and ratchet to remove the three 10mm bolts.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the turn signal switch.
7. Remove the turn signal switch from the steering column.
8. Install the new turn signal switch in the reverse order that you removed the old one.
9. Test the turn signal switch to make sure that it is working properly.
10. Replace the steering column cover and the two Phillips head screws.
You have now successfully replaced the turn signal switch on your 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage DE.
