Where is the oil filter for 2002 BMW 530i located?

Here are the steps to locate the oil filter of a 2002 BMW 530i:

1. Park your car in a level spot and turn off the engine.

2. Open the hood of your car.

3. Locate the oil filter housing. It is a cylindrical-shaped component located on the passenger side of the engine compartment near the top of the engine. It has a black cap.

4. There is a plastic cover above the oil filter. Remove the Torx bolt from the center of this cover and remove the cover.

5. Using an oil filter wrench, loosen and remove the oil filter by turning it counterclockwise.
