Cenex Low Carbon Vehicle event 2017

The DriveElectric team are looking forward to joining our partners, EA Technology and Lucy Electric Gridkey, to showcase our exciting project Electric Nation at the Cenex Low Carbon Vehicle 2017 event.

Cenex LCV2017 takes place on September 6-7th at Millbrook Test Track in Bedfordshire, near Milton Keynes, and is the UK’s premier low carbon vehicle event.

Electric Nation can be found at stand number C3 100-101, complete with a Tesla hooked up to one of the project’s Alfen smart chargers. Come and have a cold drink and chat to us to find out more about smart chargers and the results of the project so far.

Mark Dale from Western Power Distribution and Esther Dudek from EA Technology will also be giving a talk about the project, with a focus on presenting the real facts about the need for smart charging as the numbers of EVs in the UK increase.

Electric Nation’s presentation is taking place on day one of the event, Wednesday 6 September, in the Presentation Zone, Hall 2, starting at 2pm.

The event will also feature Ride & Drive opportunities of the latest low carbon and ultra-low emission vehicles on Millbrook’s unique testing track facilities including:

• Hill Route: Gradients of 6.7% to 21% provide a unique facility to evaluate powertrains, transmissions, dynamics, braking and active systems for all types of low and ultra-low carbon vehicles.
• City Course: The city course offers a means of simulating low speed urban driving conditions to judge vehicle performance.
• High Speed Circuit: The circular, banked track and multi-lane configuration provides a unique facility for evaluating the acceleration and dynamics of low carbon vehicles. Each lane has its own neutral steering pad speed to simulate long distance motorway driving.
