1. Park the car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Open the hood.
4. Locate the transmission fluid filler plug. It is usually located on the driver's side of the transmission, near the top.
5. Remove the filler plug.
6. Insert a funnel into the filler hole.
7. Pour the transmission fluid into the funnel until it reaches the bottom of the filler hole.
8. Replace the filler plug.
Check the transmission fluid level regularly and add more fluid as needed.
