* 1/2-inch ratchet
* 1/2-inch socket set
* Pry bar
* Hammer
1. Park your truck on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Locate the four bolts that secure the bed to the frame on both sides of the frame in the wheel wells.
4. Use the 1/2-inch ratchet and socket to remove these bolts. Be sure to hold the nuts as you remove the bolts.
5. Once all of the bolts have been removed, use the pry bar to pry the bed up from the frame. Start at the front of the bed and work your way back.
6. Once the bed is lifted, use the hammer to knock the bed support posts out of the frame.
7. Lift the bed off of the frame and set it aside.
8. Reinstall the negative battery cable and start the truck to make sure that everything is working properly.

* Be careful not to drop the bed. It is heavy and could cause serious injury if it falls on you.
* If you have any difficulty removing the bed, you may want to enlist the help of a friend or family member.
