1. Park your Escape on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Locate the four bolts that secure each running board to the vehicle. These bolts are located along the bottom of the running board, near the front and rear wheels.
3. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the bolts.
4. Once the bolts are removed, carefully remove the running board from the vehicle.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 for the other running board.
