The transmission drain plug on the 2006 Dodge Charger is located on the driver’s side of the transmission, near the bottom. It is a 17mm hex head bolt.
To drain the transmission fluid, you will need a 17mm wrench, a drain pan, and a funnel.
1. Place the drain pan under the transmission drain plug.
2. Loosen the transmission drain plug with the 17mm wrench.
3. Allow the transmission fluid to drain into the drain pan.
4. Once the transmission fluid has stopped draining, reinstall the transmission drain plug and tighten it securely with the 17mm wrench.
5. Add new transmission fluid to the transmission through the fill plug, located on the passenger’s side of the transmission.
6. Check the transmission fluid level and add more fluid if necessary.
