1. Turn the engine OFF and allow it to cool down.
2. Locate the transmission pan under the vehicle. It is usually a metal pan that is bolted to the transmission housing.
3. Remove the transmission pan bolts. Use a wrench or ratchet to loosen the bolts and remove them from the pan.
4. Remove the transmission pan and place it aside.
5. Remove the filter from the transmission oil.
6. Locate the three shift solenoids. They are usually located on the side of the transmission housing, near the oil filter.
7. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the shift solenoids.
8. Remove the bolts that hold the shift solenoids in place. Use a wrench or ratchet to loosen the bolts and remove them.
9. Remove the shift solenoids from the transmission.
