- Phillips-head screwdriver
- Flat-head screwdriver
- New blower switch assembly (optional)
Procedure:
*1. Disconnect Battery*
- Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical accidents during the process.
*2. Locate Blower Switch Assembly*
- The blower switch is located on the center console, usually to the left of the stereo.
*3. Remove Switch Knob and Cover Plate*
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off switch know.
- Remove 2 screws holding the cover plate in place using the Phillips-head screwdriver.
- Gently pry off the cover plate.
*4. Remove Blower Switch Assembly*
- There are 2 screws (sometimes there maybe more depending on the trim level) holding the switch assembly in place; remove them using the Phillips-head screwdriver.
- Disconnect the wiring harness attached to the switch.
- Remove the entire blower switch assembly from the dash.
*5. Install New Switch Assembly (if necessary)*
- Compare the old assembly to the new switch assembly to ensure they are compatible.
- Connect the wiring harness to the new switch.
- Slide the new switch assembly into the dash and secure with the screws removed earlier.
6. Reinstall Cover Plate and Switch Knob
- Reattach the cover plate and secure with the screws.
- Replace the switch knob.
*7. Reconnect the Battery*
- Reconnect the battery terminal.
- Test the blower switch to ensure it is functioning correctly.
