- Replacement radiator fan relay switch

1. Park the Jeep in a level spot and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool completely to avoid burning yourself.

2. Open the Hood: Locate and release the hood latch handle or pull it up and out to open the hood. Prop it up to keep it open.

3. Find the Radiator Fan Relay Switch: The radiator fan relay switch is usually located near the thermostat housing. It is a small black box with multiple electrical connectors attached. Follow the wiring harness from the radiator fan to locate it.

4. Disconnect the Electrical Connectors: Use pliers or your fingers to gently unplug the electrical connectors from the relay switch. Take care not to damage the connectors or wires.

5. Remove the Old Relay Switch: Use a screwdriver to remove the mounting bolts or screws that hold the relay switch in place. Carefully lift the switch out of the vehicle.

6. Insert the New Relay Switch: Place the new relay switch into the mounting bracket. Secure it using the mounting bolts or screws that you removed in the previous step.

7. Reconnect the Electrical Connectors: Replug the electrical connectors into the new relay switch. Make sure they are secure and fully connected.

8. Test the Fan Switch: Start the Jeep engine and let it run for a few minutes. The radiator fan should turn on automatically when the engine reaches the desired temperature. If it does not, check the connections and ensure that the relay switch is properly installed.

9. Close the Hood: Lower the hood and secure the hood latch. Your Jeep Grand Cherokee's radiator fan relay switch should now be replaced successfully.
