1. Locate the air filter housing. The air filter housing is located in the engine compartment, on the passenger side of the vehicle. It is a black plastic box with a lid that is held in place by two clips.
2. Open the air filter housing. To open the air filter housing, release the two clips that hold the lid in place and lift the lid off of the housing.
3. Remove the old air filter. The old air filter is located inside the air filter housing. To remove it, simply lift it out of the housing.
4. Inspect the air filter housing. Before installing the new air filter, inspect the air filter housing for any damage. If there is any damage, it should be repaired or replaced before installing the new air filter.
5. Install the new air filter. To install the new air filter, simply place it in the air filter housing and make sure that it is seated properly.
6. Close the air filter housing. Close the air filter housing by snapping the lid back in place and securing it with the two clips.
