Purchase coolant. You will need to purchase a gallon of 50/50 pre-mixed ethylene glycol coolant.
Locate the coolant reservoir. The coolant reservoir is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the firewall.
Check the coolant level. The coolant level should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the reservoir.
Add coolant if necessary. If the coolant level is low, add coolant to the reservoir until the level is between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks.
Close the coolant reservoir cap. Make sure the cap is closed tightly to prevent coolant from leaking.
Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. This will circulate the coolant and remove any air bubbles from the system.
Check the coolant level again. The coolant level should remain between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks. If it is low, add more coolant.
