While some hybrid and electric vehicles can achieve high fuel efficiency ratings, it is highly unlikely for a car to get 100 miles per gallon of gas solely through conventional gasoline combustion. Current gasoline-powered vehicles typically have fuel efficiency ratings in the range of 15 to 60 miles per gallon, depending on vehicle type, engine size, and driving conditions.
However, there have been advancements in electric and hybrid vehicle technology that have pushed the boundaries of fuel efficiency. For example, some plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) can achieve combined fuel efficiency ratings of over 100 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe), which takes into account both gasoline and electricity consumption.
